What reviewers said about things i did.
(I think set designers only get properly talked about when their work fails. So one has to take comfort in the small praises here and there...)

"In closing few closing words of praise are in order for Lawrence Bailey for his design and construction of three clever and effective stets. I am not sure whether King Midas or Rumpelstiltskin is the more appropriate metaphor for Lawrence, but he certainly has a gift for spinning Queensday and fleamarket dross into theater gold."

" The impressive set with the captain’s control seat center stage and consoles with bleeping lights all around the stage gave an authentic – can I say it? – Star Trek feel. And last but not least hats off to the makers of the tentacled Id monster."

Harold van Voornveld, Debby Bruin and Jan van Lijssel (toneelgroep Venster) in their review of Return To The Forbidden Planet.

"The sets are simple but effective. Much is left to your imagination, but it’s probably best that way since a lot of the action takes place in another dimension."

"On the walls there were pictures of different midgets, surrounded by the American stars, emphasising the title of the play."

"Visually this performance was an absolute treat. Seriously.(...) The stage was set circus type, with red curtains, sketches of midgets, a single red ladder, and a travel trunk, with music fitting the circus atmosphere. (Well done Lawrence Bailey.)"
